ALMOST OFF!!

Well, in less than 24 hours we will officially be leaving NOVA and blizzards! Sean and I are really excited for this adventure to begin. Kaya isn't quite sure what is going on, but is ok with it all as long as she is with us! A few people had expressed interest in us keeping them posted on our travels, and we thought the best way to do so was to start a blog. Neither of us have ever done one before, but we hope it will be fun and interesting for everyone. :-) We would love to hear any feedback and ideas from you on where to go, eat, see in places that we are visiting or near by. So please let us know! Even if you don't have any ideas we still want to hear from you, so please comment and keep in touch!

Here is our "projected" path:

Currently still in our empty house in NOVA.

May 31: Leave NOVA around noon and head south to Winston-Salem, NC for the night.
We will be staying with our friends Mark & McCall.

June 1: Continue south to Atlanta, GA
We will be staying with our friends Lindsay & Tripp and we'll also be seeing family and other friends while we are here. June 4th we have Katie's wedding at the Emory Conference Center.

June 5: Continue on to Omaha, NE
Thinking we will need to stop around St. Louis for the night.

June 6: Arrive in Omaha, NE and stay here for two nights.
We will be visiting with part of Sean's family here.

June 8: Continue on to Fort Collins, CO and will stay here for four nights.
We will be staying with our friends Mike and Leslie.
While we are here we will be making a trip down to Denver to see Sean's sister, Megan, and some our friends, Sara & Ryan.

June 11: Continue on back south again towards the Grand Canyon
Plan on stopping for a bit in Colorado Springs and check out Garden of the Gods and then continue down toward Durango, CO. and stop around this area for the night?

June 12: Head down Route 66 and find a good diner to stop and eat at. Then, head to Grand Canyon for the night. We will be camping out this night.

June 13: Start on the last leg of trip to San Marcos, CA!
We will need to stop for one more night before making it there!

June 14: ARRIVE in SAN MARCOS, CA!!!
We will be staying here with Sean's parents for a week or two so we can have a chance to look around at areas we want to live, etc.

June 15: House and Job search begins... well, maybe after a few visits to the beach first! LOL

We are very excited to see all of you who we will be seeing on this trip! Thank you for letting us stop through to see you! But, as excited as we are for this new chapter in our lives, we are also very sad to be leaving all of our family and wonderful friends here in NOVA! We love all of you guys and thank you so much for all of our wonderful send offs! We can't wait for all of you to come out and visit us!
